2020 Tour to India
03 June 2020
The FF, under our new Fixture Secretary, Nick Turk, are sending a team to India in December 2020 to play 6 matches in Mumbai, Jaipur and Delhi.
Free Foresters first played in India in 1910 but as local residents not as tourists. It seems therefore that we are the only UK club to have played matches in India when not on a tour!
In Mumbai we are being hosted by FF member Shailendra Singh at the famous Bombay Gymkhana Club where the tour starts with a T20 game under lights.
Then, thanks to Shailendra kindly introducing us to Mumbai CC, we play a 40-over game before travelling up to Jaipur by overnight train where another FF member - Uday Totuka - is arranging a game as well as hosting a dinner.
The tour continues with a trip to a National Park followed by a morning visit to the Taj Mahal and then three games in Delhi finishing up at the Roshanara CC which once hosted Test match cricket - albeit a few years ago!
