Christopher Martin-Jenkins, also known as CMJ, was a prominent member of Free Foresters having been elected in 1964.

CMJ was a long serving commentator on Test Match Special, and was also Editor of The Cricketer. In January 1993 he wrote an article about the Club and with kind permission from the current editor of The Cricketer, we are pleased to publish CMJ's historic article.
